New Dodge Challenger R/T with 5.7l HEMI V8 engine which produces 375 HP and 410 N.m. of torque. The HEMI engine is one of the most famous american traditional V8s, its history in the Dodge lineup started all the way back in 1953. Since then the HEMI concept got more and more refined until the current iteration to provide maximum power and character. Challenger R/T achieves 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and top speed of 249 km/h. The power is applied via an 8 speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission with paddle shifters which offers great tactile performance feel and can shift within 160 miliseconds. Premium 20″ alloy wheels then come into direct contact with the road.
Challenger R/T provides detailed costumization of driving characteristics with the Super Track Pack. There you can adjust specific behaviour of the engine, transmission, traction control or steering in several steps from maximum comfort setting all the way to a sport one that awakens the all the available HEMI power. The settings are modular and independent so you can fine tune each of them to create your own combination that suits your driving style. Launch control is of course also present to provide maximum traction on takeoff which keeps the engine at specified RPMs and adjusts the power delivery according to available traction.
The interior offers maximum comfort which tactfully combines old school muscle car heritage with all the modern functions. Heated seats are wide and comfortable on long drives, the premium feel is strenghtened by a heated leather steering theel with paddle shifters. The 7″ driver’s cluster displays all the important information such as current speed all the way to performance metrics or various indicators of oil life, tire pressure and many others. It is enveloped by a big traditional analog gauges with strong muscle car styling. Uconnect 4 infotainment with 8.4″ screen with the must-have support for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Challenger still keeps physical buttons for the most important functions such as climate controls or radio volume to keep the driving experience as seamless as possible.
